How to Install

BooBridge is a plugin for Claude Cowork. Installing it takes a few minutes: download one file, upload it into Cowork, turn on one setting, and start a project. That's it.

Before you start

  • Claude Cowork, in the Claude desktop app.
  • A paid Claude plan: Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise. Plugins aren't available on the free tier.

Step 1: Download the plugin

Download Grab the BooBridge plugin (a single .zip file) from the download page and save it somewhere you can find it, like your Downloads folder. You don't need to unzip it.

Step 2: Upload it into Cowork

Where it is Open Settings in Claude. In the left column, under Customize, choose Plugins.

Add it Click Add in the top right, choose Upload plugin, and pick the zip you downloaded.

Settings, then Customize, then Plugins. The Add button is in the top right.

Done BooBridge appears in the plugin list with your name as the author, switched on. It is installed on this computer.

Step 3: Turn on “Only on this computer”

Where it is Open Settings in Claude. In the left column, under Settings, choose Cowork. Find Only on this computer and switch it on.

Only on this computer Stops when the app closes or this computer sleeps.
Settings, then Cowork. Switched on, like this.

Why it matters With it off, your session can run somewhere other than your computer, where your folder does not exist. BooBridge stops and tells you rather than carry on without your memory.

Restart once On a fresh install, restart Claude before your first real session, and if anything acts strange, restart the computer. Claude runs your commands in a small workspace that is set up in the background, and on a brand-new install it sometimes isn't ready. When that happens you get errors that sound technical and have nothing to do with what you asked. A restart clears it.

Step 4: Make a project with a folder

Open Projects In Claude, go to Chat and Cowork and click Projects in the left column. Click New project in the top right.

Fill it in Give it a name under What are you working on? and a sentence under What are you trying to achieve?

Attach the folder Click Use a folder, then pick one from the list or Choose a different folder. A brand-new empty folder is fine.

The folder is picked here, while the project is being created.

This part matters A folder chosen here stays attached for good. A folder added to a project that already exists lasts only that session and is gone next time you open it.

Start a chat Open your new project and start a chat in it. That chat is where BooBridge runs.

Say the word Type “set up this project” once. BooBridge builds its memory files in your folder, which takes a few seconds. From then on, open a chat in the project and say “catch up” to begin.
